Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selakovic met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani, on the fringes of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm.

Minister Selakovic assessed that our bilateral relations were traditionally friendly and that they were continuously advancing, while noting that there was a lot of room for the promotion of cooperation.

He particularly expressed readiness for the further strengthening of mutual political dialogue and exchange of visits at all levels, and invited the Head of Georgian diplomacy to visit Serbia.

Selakovic referred to the recent round of bilateral political consultations held between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs, pointing out the exceptional importance of them being held regularly.

The Head of Serbian diplomacy thanked Georgia for its principled position concerning respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and non-recognition of the so-called Kosovo, as well as for the strong support it provided to us in the framework of international organizations.

When it comes to economic cooperation, Selakovic conveyed our readiness to connect the economies, pointing out in particular the opportunities for the intensification of cooperation in numerous areas.
