Political relations

Bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Angola are traditionally friendly and communication is maintained at a high level. The SFRY was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with the independent Republic of Angola.

At the invitation of the then President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Maja Gojković, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Angola, Fernando da Piedade dos Santos, visited Belgrade in the period from 2 to 8 February 2020.

 

Economic relations

In the 2020, exports amounted to 711 thousand euros, while there were no imports.

In the 2019, exports amounted to 718 thousand euros, while there were no imports.

 

Bilateral agreements

- Trade agreement between the Government of the SFRY and the Government of the People's Republic of Angola.

Effective date: 30 March 1979.

- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Angola on cooperation in the field of defence.

Effective date: 6 August 1980.
