FDPM and MF Dačić met with Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dačić, received today the Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC), Ambassador Lazaro Comanescu.

In a cordial and open discussion, the two colleagues exchanged opinions about the current situation within the Organization and the possibilities for overcoming the existing challenges in the spirit of good cooperation and constructiveness, especially regarding the issue of the presidency.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dacic reiterated the readiness of the Republic of Serbia to, as before, through its active engagement within the Organization, contribute to the resolution of all important issues, including the issue of the Organization's presidency in 2023. In this sense, he emphasized the necessity of dialogue and cooperation of all its members.

With gratitude for the constructive attitude of the Republic of Serbia, the Secretary General of the Organization for Black Sea Economic Cooperation, Ambassador Comanescu, underlined that the Secretariat of the Organization is ready to reach constructive solutions in close consultation with our side, as well as that returning the Organization to its original activities is in the interest of all its members.
