Đurić: Serbia and Italy committed to further developing their partnership
Minister Đurić recalled that Italy is an important strategic partner of Serbia, with whom Serbia maintains an intensive political dialogue as well as cooperation in a number of areas.
He noted that Serbia highly values Italy’s consistent support for our European path, including its support for the opening of Cluster 3, as well as in the area of regional cooperation, stressing that a stable and prosperous region is a shared goal of both countries.
Đurić also highlighted the importance of Italy’s engagement within KFOR, particularly in preserving security and stability in Kosovo and Metohija.
According to him, Serbia seeks even more dynamic economic cooperation with Italy, especially in light of the significant results achieved by our country in strengthening economic stability—results that provide a solid foundation for an increased presence of Italian companies in the Serbian market and for new opportunities for joint investments.
The Serbian Foreign Minister assessed that cooperation between the two parliaments is developing in a positive direction and has intensified further in recent months, which carries particular weight in the context of shared international challenges. He underlined that this form of political dialogue is essential for a deeper understanding of developments in both countries and for strengthening overall bilateral relations.
Minister Đurić extended an invitation to the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, to visit Belgrade in the coming period, expressing confidence that such a visit would provide additional impetus to further strengthening bilateral relations and deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
