Đurić receives the Ambassador of Japan to Serbia on a Farewell Visit

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, today received the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Serbia, Akira Imamura, on a farewell visit and expressed his appreciation for the Ambassador’s personal engagement and contribution to advancing bilateral relations between the two countries.

Minister Đurić conveyed his gratitude to Japan for its strong and continuous support for Serbia, particularly through numerous development projects implemented by Japan, which have made a significant contribution to the overall socio-economic development of Serbia.

He underlined that economic cooperation between Serbia and Japan is developing dynamically, noting in particular the growing number of Japanese investments in the Serbian market.

Minister Đurić also assessed that Expo 2025 Osaka, at which the Serbian pavilion achieved notable results, represented valuable experience for the preparation of the Specialized Expo 2027 Belgrade, to be hosted by Belgrade, for which Japan has confirmed its participation.

Minister Đurić wished Ambassador Imamura every success in his future professional and personal endeavors.
