Đurić Confers with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić met today on the sidelines of the session of the United Nations Security Council in New York City with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev.

Minister Đurić assessed that Serbia and Kyrgyzstan are connected by traditionally good and friendly relations and expressed gratitude for Kyrgyzstan’s principled and consistent support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, as well as for its policy based on respect for international law.

Đurić emphasized that Serbia pursues an independent foreign policy and is actively strengthening relations both regionally and globally despite complex international circumstances. He highlighted the importance of preserving balance in international relations, maintaining strong ties with numerous partners, including the countries of Central Asia, and remaining committed to further cooperation with friendly states.

The interlocutors noted that, despite the geographical distance between the two countries, there is mutual interest in further enhancing bilateral relations and economic cooperation.

Đurić welcomed Kyrgyzstan’s decision to confirm its participation in Expo 2027 in Belgrade, stressing that the event will provide an opportunity to showcase the country’s economic potential.

He also underscored the importance of holding political consultations between the two foreign ministries, which contribute to strengthening mutual understanding, advancing cooperation, and further developing bilateral relations.
