Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Lithuania

The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia was led by Ambassador Željko Jović, Acting Assistant Minister – Head of the Center for Analytics and Information, while the Lithuanian delegation was headed by Marius Janukonis, Director General for Strategic Management and Analysis.

The two sides discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation, expressing mutual readiness to further develop political dialogue and enhance cooperation in all areas of common interest, particularly in the fields of economy and culture.

Views were also exchanged on Serbia’s European integration process. In this context, it was emphasized that EU membership remains a foreign policy priority for Serbia, that the country is committed to implementing all necessary reforms, and that Serbia counts on the support and assistance of Lithuania along this path.

Regional and international developments were also discussed.
