Minister Dacic with the Ambassador of Romania

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had talks today with Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Serbia Silvia Davidoiu.

In the conversation, satisfaction was expressed and it was mutually noted that the bilateral relations between the two countries were characterized by traditional friendship, closeness and cooperation.

The head of Serbian diplomacy, Ivica Dacic, thanked Romania for its principled position regarding the preservation of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia, its support for the positions of the Republic of Serbia regarding the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as for the continuous support that Romania lent to the Republic of Serbia in the process of European integration.

In the talks, it was particularly pointed out that there was significant room for the promotion of economic cooperation, primarily within projects of importance for the infrastructural, transport and energy connectivity between the two countries, in the areas of green and circular economy, as well as with regard to the further expansion of trade in goods, which in recent years had a tendency of significant increase.
