The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Dušan Kozarev, met today with delegations from Expo 2027 and the Tourism Organisation of Serbia, led by Director Danilo Jerinić and Director Marija Labović, as well as with Maja Bojović, Special Adviser in the Office of the Prime Minister and the Strategic Projects Implementation Unit.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss modalities for enhancing and promoting the International Specialized Exhibition Expo 2027 in the international arena, with the aim of making the event a gathering place for as many guests and visitors as possible.

Kozarev emphasized that Expo 2027 is an event of capital importance for Serbia and that the Ministry, within its capacities, stands ready to provide support and actively contribute to the promotion of this prestigious global exhibition. In this regard, the intensified engagement of Serbia’s network of diplomatic and consular missions worldwide was also discussed.

The participants jointly expressed satisfaction that more than 130 countries have confirmed their participation, assessing this as a major success, as Serbia - hosting an event of this scale - will reap numerous benefits, particularly in the fields of the economy and tourism.

Among the topics in focus were also preparations for the Second International Meeting of Expo 2027 Participants, scheduled to be held in Belgrade in March next year.
