As part of his visit to the Republic of Srpska, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Dušan Kozarev attended today in Banja Luka the annual assembly of the Association of Women Victims of War of the Republic of Srpska.

On that occasion, the President of the Association, Božica Živković Rajlić, presented the annual report on the organization’s work and expressed special gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Minister Marko Djuric for their assistance in financing the publication of the collection of testimonies of Serbian women victims of wartime crimes committed during the 1992–1995 conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina, titled “Our Confession.”

In receiving a token of appreciation, Kozarev thanked and congratulated the members of the Association on their courage and their fight for truth and justice, emphasizing that Serbia—and in particular, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs—will continue to support their work.

“It is our duty never to forget the suffering endured by the women of the Republic of Srpska during the war. Each story carries deep pain, which further motivates us to insist on the prosecution of all crimes, regardless of nationality, religion, or place of suffering,” stressed the Secretary General.

Reflecting on history, Kozarev reminded that the Serbian people have never sought revenge or harbored hatred toward members of other nations and faiths, but have always fought for truth and justice.

“Therefore, I wish to thank all of you—brave women—who have found the strength to share your moving stories and tragic experiences, to stand up for truth, and to, despite everything, show understanding for all victims of the past war,” concluded Secretary General Dušan Kozarev.
