Tokyo: Ambassador Kovač held a lecture in the city of Matsudo in Chiba Prefecture

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Tokyo Aleksandra Kovač held a lecture in a hybrid format for the citizens of Matsudo in Chiba Prefecture. The lecture in Japanese, which was followed by over 100 citizens on the spot and online, opened this year's cycle of lectures „Japanese society through the eyes of female ambassadors and diplomats“.
Ambassador Kovač introduced the audience to the history of Serbia, the status of cultural heritage in Kosovo and Metohija and the policy of gender equality in Serbia, as well as the friendship relations with Japan, which marked 140 years in 2022.
After the lecture, the citizens asked questions about geopolitical standing and current position of Serbia in the context of European integration and about the role of NATO, the position of women in Serbian society and recommendations for improving their position in Japan, as well as about certain peculiarities of Serbian culture.
