Political relations

On May 4, 2017, the Government of Serbia established 25 May as the Day of Friendship with the Peoples of Africa.

Diplomatic relations were established in 1977. They are continuously good and friendly. Students from the Seychelles who once studied in the SFRY are also a significant link in bilateral cooperation.

Visits and meetings on the margins of the MoD: President of the National Assembly of Seychelles N. Prea participated in the work of the 141st session of the IPU Assembly in Belgrade on 13-17 October 2019. The former First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić met with Foreign Minister of Seychelles J. Morgan during the AU Summit in Johannesburg on 10-11 June 2015. The then First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić met with the then Seychelles MFA during the AU Summit in Johannesburg on 10-11 June 2015, as well with the then MFA of Seychelles J. P. Adam at MC PNZ in Algeria in May 2014. 

 

Economic relations

In 2020, our exports amounted to 231,000 euros, while imports amounted to 191,000. In 2019, our exports amounted to 738,000 euros, and imports amounted to 300,000 euros.
