Political relations

The Republic of Serbia is interested in strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation with the Republic of Panama.

The former First Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dačić attended the inauguration ceremony of President of the Republic of Panama, Laurentino Cortis Cohen on 1 July 2019.

 

Economic relations

In 2020, the exports amounting to 618,000 euros and imports amounting to 545,000 euros were recorded. In 2019, exports in the amount of 1.8 million euros and imports in the amount of 362,000 euros were recorded.

 

Bilateral agreements

  • Agreement on Economic Cooperation, signed on 30 September 1971 (The Official Gazette No. 37/1975—Annex);
  • Agreement on Technical, Scientific, Educational and Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the SFRY and the Government of the Republic of Panama, signed on 21 March 1975 (The Official Gazette No. 48/1976—Annex);
  • Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of the SFRY and the Government of the Republic of Panama in thе Field of Social Security, signed on 26 November 1975 (International Treaties No. 11/1977);
  • Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Seafarers' Certificates of Competence between the FRY and the Government of the Republic of Panama, signed on 23 August 2002.
