Political relations

Political dialogue is not intense and bilateral relations are underdeveloped. The then Minister of Labour, Employment, Social Affairs and Veterans Affairs Z. Djordjević participated in August 2019, as a special envoy of the President of the Republic A. Vučić, at the inauguration of the new President of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Ghazouani.

 

Economic relations

The economic relations between the two countries mainly take place through modest trade.  In 2021, Serbian exports were 3,487,000 euros and imports were 12,000 euros.

 

Bilateral agreements

Agreement on trade and economic cooperation between the Government of the SFRY and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

Effective date: 8 August 1967.
