ENTRY REGIME FOR CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
All restrictions have been lifted for travelers arriving in Oman.
ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
The Republic of Serbia and the Sultanate of Oman have agreed a visa-free regime. The visa-free regime applies to holders of national passports of both countries, who may enter, exit, transit through and stay in the territory of Oman for up to 90 days in a period of 6 months. Exceeding this period is punishable by a fine. “

To apply for a multiple-entry in the Sultanate of Oman, go to the website of the Royal Oman Police (www.rop.gov.om), which is responsible for issuing multiple-entry visas. The Ministry of Health of the Sultanate of Oman has recently introduced an application https://apps.apple.com/om/app/tarassud/id1502105746 for all travellers coming to Oman, which monitors the movement of travellers by means of a COVID-19 tracking bracelet during a two-week quarantine.
For tourist travel, the remaining passport validity period must be at least 6 months.
Carrying cash in excess of 10,000 US dollars across the border must be declared to the competent customs authorities.
SOCIAL SECURITY AGREEMENT
No social security agreement has been concluded.
USEFUL INFORMATION
HEALTH SITUATION — Having a travel health insurance is not required, but it is advisable for the purpose of reimbursement of any healthcare costs.
In the Sultanate of Oman water is supplied from sea water desalination plants. The water is bacteriologically safe, but travellers are advised to use bottled water for drinking and tap water for showering and other needs.
All hotels have their own medical service.
SECURITY SITUATION — The security situation is stable. The Sultanate of Oman is one of the safest countries for tourists. The crime rate is very low. The petro-chemical industry is especially developed, and tourism has flourished over the past five years.
TRANSPORT — The international airport is located in the capital of Muscat.
The road network is well developed, and Oman has been working intensively to modernise its infrastructure.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who have a temporary or permanent residence in the Sultanate of Oman may exchange their Serbian driver’s licence for an Omani driver’s licence, without having to re-take the driving test.
All types of traffic violations are sanctioned, as in other countries.
OTHER INFORMATION — The local currency is the Omani rial. The value against hard currencies varies depending on the situation on the international market but it is generally stable.
Payment cards issued by Serbian banks (VisaElectron and MasterCard) are accepted for payment of goods and services as well as for ATM cash withdrawals. Card fees will apply.
Sultanate of Oman is a Muslim country, and both women and men should dress accordingly.
