ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
The condition for entry of citizens of the Republic of Serbia into any EU member state is that they have a travel document issued in the last ten years, which must be valid for at least three months after the planned date for leaving the territory of the EU member state. Passengers who do not meet these criteria will be returned from the border. Holders of biometric passports of the Republic of Serbia do not need a visa for a stay of up to 90 days (for a period of 180 days, counting from the day of the first entry into Schengen). Visa-free regime does not apply to holders of passports of the Republic of Serbia issued by the Coordination Directorate of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia.
If coming to visit relatives, it is necessary to have an invitation letter, certified in the commune and 38.00 euros per day of stay. The police do not accept guarantees in money that relatives bring and show. If coming as a tourist, in addition to booking a hotel, one should have (and show) 50.00 euros per day of stay and tourist insurance. Bank cards are not accepted as proof of possession of money. Proof of travel health insurance is also required.
SOCIAL SECURITY AGREEMENT
An Agreement on Social Security was concluded with Luxembourg (entered into force on 1 November 2014), which covers health, pension and disability insurance, insurance against injuries at work, occupational diseases and unemployment, and child protection and maternity. Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who have a certificate of the right to use health care during a temporary stay abroad, on a bilingual form, issued by the health insurance branch with which they are insured in Serbia, have the right to health insurance in Luxembourg.

SECURITY SITUATION – The danger of terrorist attacks in Luxembourg is at the second level. Stricter controls are being carried out at border crossings, Luxembourg Central Station and Findel Airport.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who intend to travel to Luxembourg are advised to exercise the usual caution and follow the information of the police authorities in Luxembourg on the security situation.
TRANSPORT – During a tourist stay in this country, one may drive a motor vehicle with a driver's license of the Republic of Serbia. The competent authorities of Luxembourg recommend that also to have an international driver's license, due to the translation. No Green Card required. Persons who regulate temporary or permanent residence in Luxembourg, have the obligation to replace the driver's license of Serbia with a driver's license of Luxembourg within six months to a year. After that deadline, they must retake the driving test in Luxembourg.
