Commemoration Held for Ambassador Milan Milanović

A commemoration ceremony marking the passing of Ambassador Milan Milanović, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Serbia to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

The ceremony, at which the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Đurić, delivered an address, was attended by members of the ambassador’s family, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić, as well as numerous colleagues. 

Minister Đurić emphasized that throughout his career Ambassador Milanović selflessly served the state and made an exceptional contribution to the protection of the interests of the Republic of Serbia, thereby earning his place among the great Serbian diplomats.

Reflecting on Milanović’s professional career, Đurić noted that his legacy endures through the institutions he helped build, the processes in which he took part, and the generations of diplomats he shaped.

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in his personal capacity, Minister Đurić expressed his deepest condolences to the family and conveyed gratitude for their steadfast support, underscoring that they stood alongside Ambassador Milanović as a true pillar throughout his distinguished diplomatic career.
