22. May 2025.
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Dusan Kozarev, met in Caracas with Jorge Arreaza, Executive Secretary of the ALBA-TCP organization, which brings together ten countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, including Venezuela, where the organization's headquarters and the meeting itself were held.

The meeting affirmed the close ties between Serbia and Venezuela, as well as with other ALBA-TCP member states. Both sides reiterated their shared commitment to multilateral cooperation grounded in the principles of equality and solidarity among nations. Particular attention was given to exploring opportunities for Serbia’s more active engagement in the region through development aid and support programs.

The interlocutors agreed that ALBA-TCP’s various thematic forums—such as those focused on agriculture—offer valuable entry points for Serbian businesses into member state markets. There is also notable interest in Serbia’s expertise in the field of information technologies.

Kozarev and Arreaza expressed confidence that the recent entry into force of the visa waiver agreement between Serbia and Venezuela will contribute to an increase in mutual tourist visits.
